30 years of uncompromising Rock(s)

So like any band still going after several decades, we have been through many changes, since Nick Kreisler and Simon Sampson formed the group in Auckland, 1994.

But some things remain:

Electric guitars, peerless song writing, musicianship, and a love of edgier rock from the dark end of the street (think the Velvets, et al).

“Kreisler is one of New Zealand’s best songwriters”, Greg Fleming, Newsdesk.

Many great musicians have passed through the band in both New Zealand and Australia, with Kreisler, the singer and main song writer being the constant.

You can see a scrapbook of photos from (the prehistoric) Rocks’ past, below.

These days the Melbourne band consists of Gareth Eunson on bass, Lucy K on drums, Rob Wilby on lead guitar, with Nick Kreisler on vocals plus rhythm guitar.

Our current set list is new songs which we are preparing for our next album, to be our fourth release.

Our discography is: PR Nightmare, Wayward Ways, and High Frequencies. You can get these on the streaming services.

Catch us live around Melbourne’s inner city’s bars.

“You guys were great last night”, Ben Rankins.

“You could see it in the crowd’s eyes - when you’re ON, people notice!”, Stu Burgs.
